The past few weeks...

As of Monday, I will officially back in the office and getting ready for the busy season for my ministries. Everyone keeps asking if it will be hard to leave Summer and start back to work, and of course it will be. But I am so ready to get back in grown up land, where I can converse with people who 1) understand language and 2) respond and react appropriately!

What is sad to me is that now that I am about to leave, she has become more awake and alert. Her face is much more expressive and her eyes are tracking better than ever. She has become a champion at holding her head up and rolling onto her side. She hasn't quite made it all the way over, but I know it's just a matter of time.

I'm curious, to those with babies - what was the most fun early milestone for you? I think so far my favorite is the smile. Although, today when I came to get her out of her crib, she stopped crying when I walked into the room. So I'm interpreting that as familiarity and realizing that her mommy can help her with her needs. And that feels pretty nice :)
